⚠️ Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be permanently removed from our systems.

How to Delete Your Account In-App

Follow these simple steps to delete your account:

Open the GameUp app on your device
Tap on your Profile icon (bottom right)
Go to Settings (gear icon)
Scroll down and tap "Account Settings"
Select "Delete Account"
Confirm your decision by entering your password
Tap "Permanently Delete" to complete the process

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:

Your profile information (name, email, photo)
All game progress and scores
Achievements and badges earned
Game statistics and history
Any saved preferences and settings
Your account credentials

ℹ️ Note: Some anonymized data may be retained for legal compliance and fraud prevention purposes, but it will not be linked to your identity.

Data Deletion Timeline

Your account and personal data will be deleted according to the following schedule:

Immediate: Your account will be deactivated and you will be logged out
Within 24 hours: Personal information removed from active databases
Within 30 days: Complete deletion from backup systems

Before You Delete

Consider the following before deleting your account:

You will lose all game progress permanently
Any in-app purchases cannot be recovered
You cannot reactivate a deleted account
If you want to use GameUp again, you'll need to create a new account

Alternative Options

If you're not sure about permanently deleting your account, consider these alternatives:

Sign Out: Simply log out without deleting your account
Disable Notifications: Turn off notifications in Settings
Take a Break: Your account remains active even if you don't use it

Data Export Before Deletion

If you want a copy of your data before deletion:

Go to Profile → Settings → Privacy
Tap "Download My Data"
Wait for the email with your data export (usually within 24 hours)
Download the file from the email link
After receiving your data, you can proceed with account deletion
